According to the Maya Mythology, nine gods were considered as the most important ones in the myth. Among them, the god of rain and the cloud god always worked together to help the Mayans to have a good harvest. As long as the cloud god blows the wind, the rain god will precipitate. In modern society, we have our own ‘gods’ too, like harvesters and hybrid rice. Here, I want to thank a Chinese agricultural scientist, Yuan Longping, who cultivated hybrid rice. That’s the reason why I used Chinese line drawing.
