ABOUT WORLD TAG

World Tag, also known as WdTag, is a public-interest project founded by Emily Yang. It is dedicated to exploring the driving forces of human civilizations from a cultural perspective — including mythologies, technologies, philosophical pondering, and more — to reflect on societies and peoples’ lives.

Our project members express how they understand the world by recreating their personal narratives based on emotional or experienced connections with various civilizations, using arts, words, or digital technologies. Moreover, we strive to share knowledge and ideas in a simpler, clearer way, so more young people and children can understand why important developments in technology and art matter — and be inspired to create something meaningful as well.

Create with us

If you have created work that expresses important moments or interesting details regarding human civilizations — whether in forms of drawing, writing, music, video, or an app — we would love to hear from you! You are more than welcome to contact or join us at any time.

If you do not have a finished work, but have a skill such as storytelling, drawing, music-making or programming, you are also welcome to join one of our projects and create together with us.

And if you simply like the idea of this project, share its values, or have the enthusiasm to participate, you are welcome too. Together, we can contribute to help more people discover these ideas in creative ways :D.

In the process of starting World Tag and designing the app, I received help from many people. Thank you to Cloudy, Kevin and others for guidance on the app and website code; to Alvin for product design advice; to my sister Cindy, who gave thoughtful suggestions as a user while I was designing the app; and to everyone who has supported the project and supported me.
