Make A Wish

This page explores the odd little superstitions modern people keep for luck. I divided the negative space into blue and yellow: yin-yang hexagrams above, astrological chart lines below. The top features Asian, mainly Chinese, deities people pray to—the Jade Emperor, God of Wealth, Yue Lao, and others—plus a fruit altar inspired by Taobao’s “portable altar (随身贡).” Below are tarot, a crystal ball, and sage. A $100 bill sits at the center, its lower half color-inverted, since wealth is often the most direct wish. I used collage, acrylic marker, printed imagery, Procreate, folded praying hands, and handmade incense to make the page feel like a ritual. May everyone reading this have their wishes come true!
